hi everyone
wow i didn't think this subject went so global,i am from England and we are trying to do our bit for the carbon footprint, we do a lot more regenerating and sorting our good stuff from the bad,i have also joined a book club where we pass used books on to each other all you pay for is the post and packing so i never buy new books now save the trees,we re-use our plastic bags we get from the shops for bin liners and also if you re-use them at the same supermarket you bought them from they give you so much off your grocery payment. our local councils are always asking for ideas on how to save and help the planet it would be good if some of you could let me know what you do to help with this global warming.

Welcome from across the pond, it's always great to have a few more viewpoints!  One thing that's getting more popular over here is using cloth or more durable plastic bags, which can be reused for a lot longer.

We have those plastic boxes for our groceries -- the kind you buy at Superstore.

Another great idea is air-drying your laundry.  You use less energy, and your clothes last longer.  I've found it to be a rather win-win action.

I never use our building's dryer anymore - even though we don't pay for it's electricity, it just feels better to air dry everything on the rack I bought from IKEA.

A drying rack is invaluable, isn't it?  I can't imagine not having mine, now.
